This book had me belly aching laughing in the beginning during a particular scene. and when I was all comfy and snug and happy as a bug in a rug reading this book, the author rips the rug out from under me and sends my heart rolling across the floor!

This book will shatter your heart, have you hoping, have your heart soaring, make you cry, and leave you with one helluva book hangover! And EVERY bit worth it!
This is a very dark series….and there are triggers galore.
I hope people read this series…i hope people can find hope and inspiration from the author’s charachters…from the words that effortlessly flow off the pages and squeeze your heart like a vice.
They say “things that don’t break you…will make you stronger” but sometimes we shatter into itty bitty pieces…we crawl within ourselves and hide.
We try to escape the pain.
Can someone who shatters be put back together?
If they can…will they ever be the same?
Can love be enough to save somebody?

This is a gut wrenching read, trigger laden, darkie dark dark….and i would highly suggest taking the warning seriously. HOWEVER…if you decide to read this book…and I HOPE HOPE you do!!!! May you find the light and keep on reading…cuz this series is absolutely amazing!

Tho they grew up in the same neighborhood, he is 10 years older than her. He is a well known womanizer and had never even so much looked her way, now…now Sparrow is marrying him, and she doesn’t know why…and Troy is not about to clue her in. She may have to marry him, but she doesn’t have to like it, or make it easy! Tho she is scared of him and the rumors surrounding him, she shows her disdain by being mouthy and calling him on his sh$t. Troy is intrigued, her hard life (mother left her and her father, and her father worked for Cillian, Troys father and is an alcoholic) and neighborhood made her feisty, and stronger than Troy originally gives her credit for. The attraction grows, on both ends, but sooo many secrets, no trust, and the pretty boy, married, Brock that works for her husband…so nice and seems concerned about her, where Sparrow’s new husband is hot, he’s still “dangerous” according to gossip, and an asshole, yet, tho she may hate her husband, her body reacts traitorous towards him. Can they build a life on their “arrangement”? what will happen when ALL the secrets come to light? can u forgive betrayal? Leigh had me glued to the recliner and on the edge of my seat as the story of Sparrow and Troy unfolded. The characters are well-developed and the story flows like a river into the falls towards the end leaving you with a pounding heartbeat and breathless in anticipation as the story reaches its climax. a MUST read by L.J Shen!

This was my first book by drew sera, and it won’t be my last! You hear people say “i like bdsm” yay, cool, me too! but omg! do you ever think about the poor souls that end up in the wrong hands?
