For Kellie Bryant it came in the form of her niece Rory. Kellie knew raising a three-year-old came with big responsibilities, but she never thought she’d lose herself in parenthood. The only fairy tales she sees in her future now lie between the pages of the picture books she reads to Rory at night.
However, Deputy Lance Malloy, the officer who helped in the change of guardianship with Rory made mental notes that fateful day. His ex-girlfriend couldn’t handle life with an officer, but something about Kellie made an impression that officer Malloy can’t shake. Could Kellie be the answer to his dream—a partner who understands the weight of the badge?
“I should warn you, Master Eagle, I bite and have been known to scratch.” Peyton Jackson was a Pulitzer Prize winning investigative journalist, the best in her field, but in Castle Sin, she was known only as Sub PJ.
Peyton had stayed away from the ocean for a reason, yet there she was, on a remote island in Key West, surrounded by the sea, gazing at the majestic castle meant to become her home … at least, that’s what she made the seven Masters believe … In reality, she was there for only one reason: to get her cousin off the island.
Auden Devlin intrigued Mia. For nine long months, she tiptoed around the indoor pool at her workplace, never getting close to him, or the water. Her love of music and career as a physical therapist always came first—no time for any distractions. Finding him painting a mural on the empty wall of her therapy space, twisted her in places she thought closed off for years.
Mia Aldrich filled him with wonder; something he lost several years ago when his dreams of being an Olympic hopeful collapsed in a heap of twisted metal. Colors surrounded her like prisms in a kaleidoscope, triggering his desire to paint and possess her beauty. His Pisces nature pulled him toward her like gravity to the earth. His visions of her captured on canvas, and all he imagined halts when her fear collides with his passion.
TThe road to hell is paved by good intentions. I’m living proof of that. When I met my wife I had good intentions. When I stayed in a marriage that doesn’t work (to put it lightly) I had good intentions. But then she came to work for me. She was supposed to just be a desire I would never fulfil. I am a married man. A father, and she is too young. But then, my wife crossed the line, and she came offering something I couldn’t say no to, and all my good intentions went right where I was going. To hell. **WARNING! THIS BOOK CONTAINS CHEATING
This is an amazing debut for Jestina Michaels. Real characters, reactions and situations.
Great flow and original story.
Guarding Amelia grabbed my attention immediately. Including comic con and cosplay into the storyline was fun and original. This is a romance series and author I will one click in the future.
Blurb- Amelia Maddigan, owner/operator of Guardian Investigations, is hired to find and stop the person threatening her famous cosplayer friend during a popular comic con. Costumes, bad sushi, and ‘80’s karaoke are nothing compared to being forced to work with the company she left behind—and her old flame—the man who betrayed her.
Ben Constantine is on the fast track to promotion at the LA branch of ARC Angel Protection. An out-of-town job helping secure a convention center is all that stands in his way. Piece of cake…until he comes face to face with the local PI he’s supposed to assist—the woman who stole his heart then crushed it, two years ago.
The close proximity rekindles their spark, and soon they give into their attraction. But chemistry isn’t the only thing to resurface as they face old feelings and resurrected hurts. Amelia isn’t sure she can trust the man who once stole her case for glory, and Ben isn’t sure it’s wise to open up to a woman who doesn’t trust him.
But when Amelia goes missing, Ben realizes she’s worth fighting for and he’ll do whatever it takes to find and save the woman he loves.
